Clean up contact databases and format numbers properly before launching campaigns. Copy and paste these formulas into your spreadsheet.
Remove Spaces, Dashes & Brackets
Strips non-digit characters so WhatsApp can recognize the number cleanly.
Add Country Code (e.g. +91 or +1)
Prepends your country code to 10-digit phone numbers in bulk.
Prevent Scientific Notation (1.55E+10)

Frequently Asked Questions
Common formatting questions when working with WhatsApp contact lists.
Why does Excel show my phone numbers as 1.55E+10?
Excel automatically treats numbers with 11 or more digits as scientific notation. To prevent this, format the column as Text before pasting numbers, or use the formula =TEXT(A2, "0").
Do I need to include the "+" symbol before country codes?
You can include or omit the "+" symbol. WaSenderHQ automatically sanitizes input and handles country prefixes like +1 or 1 seamlessly.
Can I use Google Sheets instead of Excel?
Yes! You can either export your Google Sheet as a CSV via File > Download > Comma Separated Values (.csv), or connect your Google Sheet directly in WaSenderHQ.
Can I add extra custom columns to the template?
Yes. You can add as many columns as you want (e.g., Company, City, DueDate, Amount). WaSenderHQ detects every column header and lets you map it to personalized placeholder tags like {City} or {Amount}.
